Next week, families will receive a Culture and Climate Survey from our district. The purpose of this survey is to gather feedback about the school environment, communication, and overall experiences so that we can continue to improve and better serve our students and families. Your input is very important, and we appreciate you taking a few minutes to share your thoughts with us. The survey opens on October 8th and closes on November 7th.
Indian Ball Fundraiser Event - October 11th
Join us for the 4th Annual Indian Ball Tournament on October 11th! Get your team of five together ($125 per team) for a fun double-elimination day at the ballpark. Deadline to enter is October 6th—contact Ethan Boyer to register. All proceeds support our high school baseball team’s spring overnight trip.
Sr. Beta Spooky Sprint - October 18th
Join us for a fun fall event! Our High School Beta Club is sponsoring a Spooky Sprint on October 18 at 3:00 p.m. at the Brody Gargac Baseball Field. Bring the whole family to cheer, walk, or run—costumes encouraged! Proceeds support Beta Club activities and service projects. We hope to see you there!
FCCLA STAR Ball - October 25th

Parent Teacher Conferences - October 27th
Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m on Monday, October 27th. Families of our elementary students can expect to receive sign-up information through ParentSquare. This will allow you to select a convenient time to meet with your child’s teacher, celebrate progress, and discuss goals for the remainder of the school year. Keep an eye on your ParentSquare notifications for details!

New Fume Extractor in our Ag Building!
The Ag classroom recently used 50/50 CTE grant funds to purchase a fume extractor to support a safer learning environment.
New RealCare Babies in Child Development!
Using 50/50 CTE grant funds, the FACS classroom purchased new RealCare Baby simulators for the Child Development class, giving students realistic, hands-on experience with infant care, time management, and safe caregiving practices.
The New Gym Floor is Complete!
Our high school gym floor is now complete following major renovations to repair damage caused by water, and we’re excited to have it ready for students and upcoming events.
New Oven in FACs Classroom!
Using 50/50 CTE grant funds, the FACS classroom purchased a new oven for the Food Entrepreneurship class, giving students reliable, industry-relevant equipment for hands-on cooking, recipe testing, and learning day-to-day kitchen operations.

We are excited to announce the launch of our new East Carter County R-II School District website, which is now ADA compliant! 🌐✨ While we are still in the process of updating a few pages, the transition has gone smoothly, and we are thrilled with the improvements. One of the best new features is the ability to share seamlessly between ParentSquare and Facebook, helping us connect more easily with our families and the wider community. We look forward to using this updated platform to keep everyone informed and engaged!

This group is for members of the East Carter County R-II community who want to stay connected to our schools, even if they do not currently have children enrolled or serve as immediate guardians of our students. We’ll share information about school and community events, along with occasional opportunities to get involved and support our Redbirds.
