Paraprofessionals
The East Carter Co. R-2 School District is accepting applications for a full-time PK paraprofessionals. The district is looking for personnel that will provide educational support by working directly with students as well as other duties as assigned under the direction of the licensed teacher(s), or by administration. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 60 hours of post-secondary training or an Associates of Arts/Science degree, or completed the DESE alternate training, as well as a Substitute Teaching Certificate through the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The successful candidate must also pass a background check and district qualifications. The district is a 4-day school week, with students on-campus Tuesday through Friday.
The district has a very competitive salary and benefit package for all staff. The district offers 8 different health coverage plans for the employee; each option is completely paid for by the Board of Education.

700 students. Ellsinore is conveniently located between Poplar Bluff and many outdoor
recreational activities such and floating and hiking.

Speech and Language Pathologist
The East Carter County R-2 School District is seeking a full-time Speech/Language Pathologist.
The district seeks a candidate with knowledge, experience, and expertise in the areas of oral
motor, discrete trial, picture exchange communication systems and the provision of
speech/language therapies to students identified with varying degrees of abilities and needs. The
applicant must be fluent in the use of technology in therapy, Missouri Learning Standards, IDEA
assessment, eligibility and compliance, as well as the development and implementation of IEP’s.

Substitute Teachers
The East Carter Co. R-2 School District is accepting applications for substitute teachers and substitute para-professionals. Subs are needed throughout the district in many different job types and age groups. The current full-day pay rate is $135.00. Successful candidates must complete a job application, have completed 60 or more college hours, pass a background check and possess an active substitute teaching certificate issued from DESE prior to being presented to the Board of Education.
