Our Community Citizenship initiative has as its goal to develop a strong, caring community through the teaching and modeling of positive character traits. Our Word of the Month program is the vehicle that drives character education in East Carter County R-II Schools. At East Carter County, each month teachers are given access to special lessons and videos that help students develop the character trait that is being highlighted for that month. Then in every classroom, students are chosen who best exemplify and model the word of the month. Good citizens are growing and learning at East Carter R-II Schools. They will help guide our world to a bright and caring future!
