Dear Parents, Staff, Students and Community,
I want to warmly welcome you to the 2012-2013 school year. As your newly appointed principal, it is my sincere pleasure and honor to make this one of the best school years ever. I am looking forward to working with the dedicated staff to provide the best possible education for our students.
I feel fortunate to have been appointed principal to the school from which I graduated and have taught throughout my teaching career. After graduating from East Carter, I attended Three Rivers Community College and Southwest Baptist University. I recieved a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Southwest Baptist University and a Master of Educational Administration degree from William Woods University. I taught Second grade at East Carter for five years, Physical Education for twelve years and coached High School Varsity Softball during that time.
Supporting our student to do well at school and in their lives is the center of our work. Parents, teachers, support staff and administration all have an important role to encourage our children to become active learners and provide opportunities for them to become productive citizens. I am honored to serve this community and am confident that together we can make our school a great place to learn and grow!
