GPA Worksheet Districts often have different reasons to know the GPA of students for the current school year. Often we wish to know where a student stands for a current marking period whose Final Grades have not been posted to transcripts. To do this we need to incorporate the current school years from schools wishing to determine what students should attend an academic awards banquet, to review the current Cumulative GPA for students.

Student Demographics Address Issues/Update - The Student Demographic application has been modified to separate the Student Address into a Mailing Address and Residence Address.  The Mailing Address is to be used for Mailing Labels, Report Cards, Progress Reports, etc.  This will almost always be used as the address which is printed.  Recently the Post Office started enforcing that it will not deliver mail unless the address is exactly correct in the United States.  There is also a new address field, Formal Residence Address.  This is used to correctly enter the different parts of an address into the system.  This type of address will be used for Map plotting and Family unit identification. Semester Grades - How to access your semester grades. (1/3/08)

Assessments available in IS - (5/07/2008)-- Many states have assessments which schools are required to administer.  These assessments are also part of a student’s total historical assessment information.  This is useful to understand the individual students complete academic achievements as well as fulfill state reporting requirements.  This solution allows tracking of required assessments down to the instructor level.

Gradebook Assignments Update- Absent Assignment Reports (3/25/2008) Teachers now have specific areas where to enter separate parent – guardian and internal comments for each classroom activity / assignment.  This modification allows a teacher to easily communicate specific student assignment information to parents and students through the parent and student portal applications.  

Multi-School Year View in IS (5/30/08) With the recent change by many state governments moving Summer School to the first session of every school year it has brought the need for schools to work with in many cases three different school years, the previous, summer school and the next regular school year.

Summer School Set Up - This checklist will provide the necessary steps to prepare for enrolling students into Summer School.

Final Grade Labels (5/30/08)- Lumen has added options for printing labels for final grades. Go to EzStart -> School Reports - > School Reports and in the menu select Final Grade Label Parameters.  Below is a screen shot of this application.  Note:  There are many new options added to this application so review carefully.

Progress Report and Report Date - (5/30/2008) Lumen has added the Run Report Date  for Progress Reports and Report Cards. This will allow you to specify the date you want the system to run a report  thus allowing it to correctly identify, in student enrollment, the appropriate Grade Level of the student.
