Meeting of April 5, 2007
--Attendance 9. --Minutes read by Shasta Lutton, approved by Shandell Farris, 2nd by Ryan Lutton. --Treasurer’s report read by all, approved by Shandell, 2nd by Lana Hart. --Old Business-- Kerie Amsden reported on movie night. There was a very good response, we had about 150 people. Our only problem was the need for more speakers. Mrs. Metz asked us to do this again but it was decided due to end of the year activities to wait until next year. A vote was taken and approved to proceed with the class baskets as fundraiser for the summer school program. Each grade level will sponsor a themed basket by donating items for that basket and each item donated will allow that child a free ticket for the basket of his or her choice. Tickets will be sold for .50 a piece. It was decided to collect items for 2 weeks and sell tickets for 3 weeks. The drawings will take place at noon on play day. The P.T.O. has voted to donate $500 plus all proceeds from this raffle. Due to the basket raffle it was decided to not do face painting or sell suckers this year at play day. This allows those that work those booths to spend time with their own children. It was voted to not help the school with the replacement of the kindergarten doors, this was due to the amount, $1500.00 and the fact that most feel that this is a maintenance issue. It was voted to save our donated items from our Fall Festival that was canceled for the next school year. --New Business-- Election of officers
