Rule Guidelines
The Library is a quiet
place; let’s keep it that way.
No throwing, sliding or
general abuse of library resources is allowed.
All students will keep hands
and feet to themselves at all times.
Follow the teacher's instructions.
Results of Breaking Library
Rules
- First
Offence: Verbal Warning.

Second Offence: Separated from class.
- Third
offence: Sent to hallway, note sent to the teacher and parent.

Fourth Offence: Council with principal, possible loss of library
privileges.*
Checkout Policy
o One-week time limit on
books checked out.
o If the book needs to be
rechecked, the student must bring the book to the library to be rechecked.
o Students are allowed two
books at a time either one AR and one Library book or two AR books.
o The responsibility of
the care and return of library materials are placed upon the student.
Any damage, loss, or theft must be compensated to the school. The
student is expected to notify the librarian to make payment for the materials.
In case of natural disasters or house fires the library will set aside
the need for compensation.
o Overdue slips will be
sent out the beginning of each month. Students will not be allowed
to checkout any additional library materials until these are returned or
rechecked. Students will be rewarded for returning all their books
on time each week at the end of each quarter.
o Magazines will be checked
out to 4th, 5th, and 6th graders for one week.
