MISSION STATEMENT:
The East
Carter English Department’s educational philosophy is to provide supportive,
challenging, and varied instruction that will guide students in developing their
skills in reading, writing, listening & speaking, and information literacy.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to examine British literature
incorporating a variety of genres: fiction, non-fiction, memoirs and essays,
drama, novels, and poetry. Students
will write critical and persuasive essays, complete a research paper, engage in
creative writing projects, and make technology-assisted oral presentations.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This senior-level course is a designed to examine workplace
communication emphasizing self-management and problem-solving.
The course also incorporates a variety of genres geared toward the
workplace: fiction, non-fiction, essays, poetry, and videos.
