INTRODUCTION
You are a group of Indian chiefs.  You are wanting to recruit  new warriors for your tribe.  Your mission is to inform the group of indian warriors about your Indian tribe.  You information must be given in a way that you will persuade the indian warriors to join your tribe.   The more warriors you get the better off you are in war.

TASK

Your task is to inform the indian warriors (your classmates) about your Indian tribe.  The following information needs to be researched.

1.  Where did they live? 
2. What did your tribe do each day? 
3.  What did they do for food?
4.  What kind of shelter did they have?
5.  What kind of clothing did they wear?
6. Who affected their lives? 
7. How did they affect the lives of those who came after them.

PROCESS

1.  You will be put in groups or "tribes" of 4.
2.  You will be assigned an indian tribe to research. Use your computers, books , the library... Fill out the worksheet provided by your teacher.
3.  You need to persuade the class why your tribe would be the best tribe to join.  In order to persuade the class, you will need to create a PowerPoint presentation that will make everyone else want to belong to your tribe.
Be sure to include the following information: 
  1.  Where did they live? 
  2. What did your tribe do each day? 
  3.  What did they do for food?
  4.  What kind of shelter did they have?
  5.  What kind of clothing did they wear?
  6. Who affected their lives? 
  7. How did they affect the lives of those who came after them.

4. On large construction paper you need to make a drawing of what your indian tribes village would look like.

5.You need to creating  a 3-D model of your town.  In addition, you will use Microsoft Word to create paragraph blurbs  about each feature in your town to add to your model.   Plan your village on notebook paper.  Then, using available classroom materials such as                glue, craft sticks, paint, tagboard, construction paper, etc. and things from nature such as grass, twigs, rocks, etc. to create your model village.     Remember, the idea of your village is to create a place that will meet the needs of your Indian      Tribe

       Evaluation

    Your performance on this project will be evaluated with provided  rubrics.  Your grade will be a common grade for your group's work.  It is important for each member of your group to do his or her part to ensure that your project is "YOUR BEST WORK."
