This lesson was developed as part of Missouri's eMINTS Project (enhancing Missouri's Instructional Networked Teaching Strategies).  It was designed especially to meet objectives for 4th grade math curriculum. 

This webquest is designed to cover math skills and concepts of area, perimeter, and money computation.  Students must plan a dream bedroom providing a floor plan, power point presentation, and a graph to show how they spent their budgeted $500.  They will also have to complete a worksheet computing various amounts of supplies needed, and an order form which  includes adding shipping charges. Technology is incorporated through Microsoft Excel, Power point, and internet activities. 

The worksheets were designed so that individual grades can be taken on the worksheet and order form, if needed.
Scoring guides are provided for each project so that parts may be omitted if desired.

This webquest can be adapted without the use of technology by printing out each section and creating a poster as a final product.
