This year's theme was
Going Green and our art classes made a variety
of projects from materials that students, their
families, and that our faculty had collected.
Favorite projects includes sun catchers from
discarded cds, mini bird houses from milk
cartons, and collection containers from a
variety of materials done in collage style. We
also participated in the Crayola "I Dream In
Green" Recycling Contest and a Wildlife Contest.
We learned many things about recycling and
completed our unit with a Recycling Book!
Some other activities for certain grade levels included
pattern bracelets from cardboard cylinders,
hand-made paper beads, tie-dye (the easy way)
t-shirts, one of a kind puzzles, colors at night
pictures, mixed-media glue pictures, invisible
painting, and more. |
